Glacier Bay Wilderness Chili


2 lbs ground beef

1 Tbsp Cooking Oil

3 Cloves of Garlic

3 Celery Stalks

2 Large Onions

1 Tbsp Salt

1/2 tsp Coarse Pepper

2 Bay Leaves

3 Tbsp Chili Powder

1-1/4 tsp Oregano

1/4 tsp Cumin

6 whole allspice

3 Tbsp. Sugar

16 oz can tomatoes

16 oz can tomato sauce

Small can green chiles

15 oz can kidney beans

15 oz can pinto beans


In a large skillet sauté diced onions, garlic and celery in cooking oil. Add ground beef and sauté until we’ll done. Add remaining ingredients, cover and slowly cook for about one hour.
